Baby Whisperer and Babywise moms, check in!

Hi ladies!  How are things going now that are LOs are 3-4 months old?  Let's have a check in!

  • What does your structured routine look like these days?  (Wake times, nap lengths, bedtime, etc.)
  • How is the sleep - anybody have a baby who is STTN?  How about naps - has anybody successfully extended naps to 90 minutes?
  • Who is thinking about moving to a 4-hour schedule?
  • How are your "dream feeds" going?  Anybody dropping this yet?

We are doing well on a structured routine.  Charlotte's wake up time is 7:30 and our first EASY of the day is 2.5 hours because that nap is short.  The others are 3, except I've been shortening the last one to 2.5 hours so she eats at 6:30 and is getting to bed around 7:30.

She still gets up once between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM to eat, which isn't so bad most nights.  Because of this, I think she is not ready for the 4-hour EASY schedule yet.

Also, she has not consolidated day sleep yet.  She wakes 30 or 45 minutes into most naps and needs her paci plus a bit of soothing to keep sleeping.  I would say that 90% of the time, she finishes the nap.  Other times she'll play until it's time to eat, or eat right away (this has been going on the last two days - growth spurt?)

We still do a dream feed around 10:30 or 11:00.  My husband gives her a bottle while I pump, so it's very fast.  On nights we fall asleep, she will let us know she is ready!  I'm pretty sure she still needs the DF.

  • We tried the babywise method and are still working on "some" of the techniques. I like the E.A.S.Y schedule. Our LO is teething so we are all off schedule.
