Working Moms

Assessing your day-to-day well-being

Psychology researchers at City University London are looking for working mums to complete well-being surveys across seven consecutive days in the same week. In return for participating you will receive a personal resilience and well-being video and guide.

Psychology researchers at City University London are investigating the links between people?s work, their personality style, and sense of well-being across the entire week.

The aims of the project are to:
1. Measure people?s well-being over consecutive days in the same week
2. Understand the work and personality factors that influence daily and weekly well-being
3. Provide information on the latest techniques and recommendations designed to promote well-being, personal resilience, and leisure time experiences

The project is being conducted by Jenny Cooke and supervised by researchers in the psychology department at City University London. The researchers are keen to collect data from mums (aged 18 or over) who are employed on a full-time or part-time basis.

What?s involved?

You will be asked to complete an initial on-line questionnaire followed by brief well-being surveys at the end of seven consecutive days in the same week. The surveys assess your general mood, well-being, and ask about your thinking patterns on each day (e.g., how much you worried each day). Participating in the project will take about an hour to an hour and a half of your time in total, across any week of your choosing. Your anonymous responses to the surveys will only be seen by Jenny and two other members of the City University research team and will remain strictly confidential.
