Strollers...again?

Sorry if this has been done to death but...

1.  Am I the only person who doesn't want or have $400 to spend on a stroller/car seat combo?

2.  Anyone already pick theirs and have a recommendation for a good, but reasonably priced set?

Re: Strollers...again?

  • We're going with the graco metrolite stroller and the matching snugride 35.  They don't come as a set but they are compatible.  The two together cost about $230.

  • we're going with the snugride 35 (about 200) and a graco stroller that it snaps into (can't remember the name - Odyssey maybe??) it's about 200... here's hoping we like them

Unfortunately, I didn't find any that I liked that we cheaper... maybe that's because I registered at BRU

  • We too didn't want to spend a fortune, but wanted a great stroller.

We're getting the Britax B-Agile Stroller with the B-Safe Car Seat.  About $300 for both.  Look on Amazon.

We tested them all out in person and loved this the most, next to an Uppababy Vista.

It's light, easy to fold down, moves around like a dream.

  • I can't find anything for less than 400. I am in Canada though.

  • I didn't want to spend a ton either.  I'm really happy with my setup that I bought for DD and will reuse for this LO.

I bought a Baby Trend Expedition 'jogging' stroller that came with an infant car seat - I bought it during a sale at BRU for under $200 for the pair.  The infant seat snaps on the jogging stroller for when the baby is really little, but once baby can sit with their head up, you can ditch the carseat and put baby right in the stroller.  I found the carseat to be fairly easy to use & light.  We still use the stroller every weekend.  I put jogging in quotes because although its a big 3-wheel stroller, it doesn't seem super sturdy for a real runner.  Perfect for walks though.  Its a heavy beast though, so not one for lugging in & out of the car.  For that, I got a Snap n Go frame that the same carseat snaps into.  The SnG is AMAZING!  And fairly inexpensive, maybe $50?  2 aunts went in on it together as a shower gift for me.

When DD outgrew the infant seat (at 1 year old), I bought an inexpensive, lightweight umbrella stroller for the car trunk for errands to replace the SnG.

    Hope that helps!
