We started putting LO in his crib at 6 weeks and we never had a problem until now. I don't' think its the crib that's the problem I think its the 4 month wakeful thing. I swear little man wakes up every hour. I know some people might thin 6 weeks was early but LO is so noisy when he sleeps every little grunt or change in breathing would wake me up so for my sanity We had to transition him a little earlier than planned.
We moved dd to her crib shortly after she hit 2 months old, because she seemed to be running out of room in her bassinet, she loves to stretch out her arms and legs and barely fit in the bassinet and would wind up banging her hands on the sides of it in the middle of the night.
At first, I put her in the crib and slept on an air mattress in her room because I honestly was just not ready to be apart from her. She had been sleeping 5-6 hours in the bassinet, but once in the crib she started waking up every 2 hours. Thankfully this only lasted a little over a week and she went back to sleeping longer stretches of 6-7 hours.
But then daylights saving time happened, and she was off again for a couple of days. Then she was sleeping 8 hours straight consistently. Unfortunately about a week ago she had problems sleeping again, I think she is going through the 4 month wakeful period. Now I have a hard time getting her to go to sleep and stay asleep, it takes a couple of hours for her to finally stop waking up and STTN. I hope this passes soon, because it is also affecting her nap times, which never were great, but lately it is a struggle to get her to nap for longer than 5-30 minutes and I don't think she is getting enough rest.
