We used a monitor when she went in to her own room (jan-march) then we moved and we shared a bedroom. Since moving again she's been in her own room and no monitor. Is that bad? Our bedrooms are next to each other and I hear her right away when she wakes up or happens to cry. Am I the only one with no monitor?
We have both. Before you think that is ridiculous, the sound one we got first as a gift. When I was getting ready to put her in the crib, I couldn't handle not seeing her, so I got a cheap video one. Well, the stupid thing beeps every time it goes on and off, so that wasn't going to work, so I had to mute it and leave the audio monitor in there too.
This. We have a pretty big house, and I keep his door closed. And DH sleeps with a fan, so I wouldn't hear him at night. I don't need it as much for nap time, but it makes me feel better.
sound only...and we just recently ditched the angelcares (can you say paranoid FTM? hehe)
haha. We still have our angelcares hooked up with movement. It's not that I'm paranoid, I just haven't gotten around to taking the pads out from underneath. LAZY! I have the monitor turned off in our bedroom but keep it on in the living room on low volume. His room is at the other end of the house so I want to hear him when he wakes up.
We have a sound monitor that we rarely use, on during naps. And we have an IP camera in DD's room that we use to check on her while she's sleeping. I love it because I can watch her while I'm at work.
