Got an email today for this group and was interested in their expectant mother dinner, but can't find reviews. Has anyone every attended them and found them worthwhile?
I have only been to their free events (workouts & some product unveilings) while a friend has attended one of their Baby Food Making workshops at Whole Foods. The events that we have gone to collectively have been informative and even the workouts worthwhile in the sense that you are able to try out different styles of workouts, meet other people, and even when pregnant come to realize what's "safe" to do during a workout and what isn't. Not to mention the goodie bags that people usually get at their events ;o) (Usually a couple of samples, offer codes for various services, etc)
Because I personally haven't paid for a lot of their events, I can't completely say whether their expectant mom diner is worthwhile. I know that if our budget wasn't so tight, I would have gone and would go to more of their events. The only downside is that both my friend & I did realize that some of the people who go tend to be a little "cliquey". You can definitely tell who has been around from the beginning and if you aren't the extrovert type, it can be not as fun. But like I said, if I was in the situation to go, I probably would. Have fun if you do!

I just looked this event up and it seems interesting. I am a FTM and newer to the city and would like to meet other moms who are going through what I'm going through. However, I saw that the event is $50, which is pretty steep. I would probably register if it were cheaper.
I went to one of these and while it was ok, I definitely agree with the cliquey comment. Whether or not you like it is definitely a personality thing - if you like the sort of folks who are there then it's probably great. Just turns out they weren't the people I generally am in sync with.
I definitely think that this place is incredibly clicky but for the information and freebies it is great. I wouldn't recommend a membership but more so one or two events during the year. However, I had no friends when I had a baby as I just moved to Chicago and I met all of my friends through: cheersformoms.com
It is a free meetup.com group and all the events are free.
