I am starting to chart this month and I am on CD 3. I got my thermometer and ready to go. So my Q is do you clean your thermometer after each use or do you use disposable covers? I plan to test oral. Also, last month I got a Opk for 2 days , I know the box said that after the ovulation will come 1248 hours, but can a person ovulate later then that?

    I don't clean mine every time and I don't have disposable covers.  I usually clean it at the end of the week.

    Sometimes I will see two or three positive OPK's before ovulation.  However, a positive OPK doesn't always guarantee ovulation.  It just means that the levels are rising and you could ovulate soon.  Good luck!

    I temp orally and clean my thermometer occasionally, but certainly not every day! I wash the tip with soap and water maybe 2x/month. It really doesn't get dirty. 

    As for your 2nd question, I don't know if anyone knows the answer to that for sure. R's not an exact science, unfortunately. I usually O 2 days after my 1st +OPK, but I don't know exactly when the egg gets released so it might be a little more than 48 hours. GL!

    TTC #1 since Sept 2011
    BFP#1 1/31/12. Empty sac discovered 3/5/12. MTX due to location in uterine horn.
    BFP#2 2/27/13. Empty sac confirmed 3/20/13. Mifepristone + cytotec.
    Currently TTA until Fall 2013, waiting for operative hysteroscopy

    All testing shows both H and I are perfectly normal. Baby Nacho had triploidy. 
    Back to normal business December 2012

    Thank you for your replies. I was also thinking that I don't think I can clean it every day hahaha.
