Grinding teeth

I know this was posted like a week or 2 ago but I can't find it. Jackson just started grinding his teeth! Oh my goodness! It's so loud and it makes my body cringe! I can hear it all the way across the room! Is this bad? I hope this doesnt last for to long! His top tooth just broke through the skin and on top of it he has a double ear infection that won't go away. Not sure if the grinding of teeth is comforting the teething pain?!?

I hate it. It is the worst sound ever. They don't do it as frequently any more, but when they do it I yell really loudly and startle them, so that might be why.

My pedi said the teeth grinding is them exploring their new teeth. Getting a feel for them and all that. I imagine it might help relieve some of the pain too.

Mabrey does this too. We have a friend who is a dentist and he said if she's just doing it during the day it's most likely because it feels good on her new teeth or she's just getting used to them. If it's at night while sleeping it could mean more of an issue. The sound is awful though!
