Appointment with specialist today

Today DH and I woke up at 4:30am and drove 4 hrs through snow and rain to NYC for an appointment with a fertility expert. $700 later (insurance didn't cover it) we found out what we already know. There is "something" wrong with me but no one knows what it is exactly and it makes me high risk.

It wasn't a total waste. We got a six-pack of cupcakes on the way home.

    I'm sorry dandy!  I know what it's like to have an appointment like that (x3), but the fact that you paid OOP just adds insult to injury.  (((HUGS)))
    PAIF/SAIF, PGAL/PAL welcome.
    TTC since March 2010 ~ Dx Unexplained IF September 2011
    2011: IUI + Clomid = CP#1
    2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
    2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
    IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
    So lost.

    oh, FFS. That's the worst. How can that keep happening to people?

    were the cupcakes at least good?

    All testing shows both H and I are perfectly normal. Baby Nacho had triploidy.

    I am really sorry that you were not able to get the answers that you were looking for and that insurance did not cover part of the cost.
    TW loss mentioned 

    **BFP#1 9/5/12   EDD 5/15/13  changed to 5/25/13 after u/s,  missed mc 10/19/12.  D and C 10/22/12** 
     **BFP#2 9/12/13  EDD 5/16/14 changed to 5/27/14 after u/s, hb 126 on 10/11/13, miscarriage on 10/24.13**
    ~RPL testing results from 12/6/13 show everything normal except elevated prolactin. Blood work is now in the normal range. All AL welcome!
    BFP #3 10/24/14  Our rainbow baby was born July 2015
    BFP 4 10/28/19 EDD 7/6/20

    I am sorry that you didn't get any answers...are they willing to run any tests..anything? That is so frustrating. I hope the cupcakes were good at least.

    Diagnosed w/ endometriosis 12/2010 Laproscopic surgery & 6 months of Lupron
    BFP 12/17/2011,EDD 8/23/12,ectopic discovered 12/29/11 at 6 weeks recieved methotrexate
    Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.

    June '13 Decided to go the adoption route!

    I'm so sorry. That is such a letdown.

    I hope those cupcakes were darn good. What kind were they? And where did they come from?

    Thanks for the kind words, ladies. I've had most of the tests done and nothing has showed up. The only thing they've kind of found is that my Protein-S is slightly elevated and the treatment for that is Lovenox injections - which I did during my pregnancies. :(

    He did recommend a SA for my husband just to check because DH is convinced he has low testosterone. 

    He also mentioned the possibility of some laproscopy  in a few months if I've still not pregnant. I've had a HSG and my tubes look fine but he thought since I've been able to get pregnant before, rather easily, that maybe (though unlikely) that there is a problem with a tube.

     The cupcakes were ok. Not even as good as I remember them. :( They were from Molly's Cupcakes on Bleeker. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
