Contours Optima vs Options LT double stroller

I know there have been a LOT of threads about double strollers, but I think I am down to deciding between the Contours Optima and the Contours Options LT and I cannot find a good comparison anywhere.  Does anyone know more about the differences or have one and can share their opinion?

It sounds like the LT is lighter and shorter and can be put in the truck with both seats on, but the Optima has adjustable canopies, child cupholders, and a parent tray.

One website noted a difference is that the LT has auto-lock.  Does the Optima not lock when you collapse it?  And if you cannot collapse the Optima with both seats on, can you just remove one of them or is there a specific configuration required to collapse it?

I really appreciate any insight anyone has on either of these strollers!  Buying a double stroller is such a pain!

  • Lol, I did the same search awhile ago and was looking for the same answer. lucky for you I found it. https://www.kolcraft.com/brands/contours/strollers/contours-optima-tandem-stroller.html

If you scroll down to the Questions section, there will be one asking about the difference between the models.

  • Oh and there are also a couple of good you tube videos about either stroller.

  • I had the Contours Options Tandem II and absolutely hated it. It was so heavy, so bulky, and too big to use in most stores. The LT does look a bit smaller so it may be a much better option than the one I had. The pros to these strollers are the seat positions and the fact that you can put an infant car seat and a toddler in the same stroller. I would try to find them in the store and "test them out" before making a decision.
