Ok-so LO bit me for the first time tonight. I don't think it was intentional. He has started babbling when he eats solids and I think he decided to babble while nursing. It scared me and hurt, so I pulled him off and firmly said no. Well he did it again and I did the same thing. Well I must have either hurt his feelings or scared him because then he got this super sad face and started crying! Then I felt awful ha ha...we have made it this far, I don't want to ruin our nursing relationship at almost 10 months in!! Any advice to help him understand not to bite or talk with his mouth full

?
Re: Biting while BF?
This is what I am hoping...my boob is rather traumatized!
Yep, same here. Kellen does it every once in a while and I firmly say no and he cries. I feel bed, but then again biting is something that will never be okay in a child's life, so if that is a lesson they learn now we really are helping them.
It will only ruin your bf relationship if you let it continue. Letting out a little shriek and then firmly saying no is kind of like aversion therapy. If they get a little scared every time they bite they will stop.
I guess I never thought of it that way! I am hoping it was an isolated incident tonight...now I am going to live in fear of those little razors in his mouth for a while though.
You will. For a while I was so tense I couldn't get a let down because one bite he didn't let go and I actually bled! *shudders* Finally it had been a while since he had done it and I started to relax again. But man, that sh!t hurts!!

My LO has bit me twice. Last time I yelled no in a firm voice and she started giggling. She thought it was hilarious. Wow I am in for it ....
