As promised, here's our sweet boy and his brand new grin. (Well, we haven't quite gotten a grin out of him yet...). I thought I'd include some before pics too - it's truly an incredible transformation!

Here he is at about 10 days old, before he started using the orthodontic device:

Here he is on Sunday night, this is the last picture I have of his "wide smile":

And here he is right after surgery, getting settled into the PICU:

And one snuggling with dad. Poor guy has to wear the NoNos (arm immobilizers) for at least two weeks.

Can't wait to get a true smile out of him - hopefully soon!!

Such a beautiful little guy! I work in early intervention and specialize in adoptions and children in transitional homes. Wow! He's beautiful, I'm so glad his surgery went well. DS1 had his tonsils and adenoids out last summer and the 30 min wait was agonizing-- I can't imagine 3 hours.
