I posted yesterday about recurrent miscarriage testing. I decided to go ahead and call the RE since I figured it would take them a while to see me, but they were able to see me today. Since we've hit our deductible amount for the year, I figured let's try to get some stuff started so we can get anything covered possible. He wasn't terribly concerned about my situation (I mean this in a good way!). He thinks that both of my losses sound like they were chromosomal in nature, but he ordered some blood work and a sonohystogram after I get AF. He said there is more that he can test for, but he wouldn't recommend it unless we have a third loss. Overall, I felt like it was a good meeting and it feels good to have an actual plan in place instead of sitting around waiting.

I'm so glad I met with him. I'm frustrated with my OBs office right now. I adore my Dr, but so far no one has actually called me with my betas from yesterday or to tell me what my "next step" is. I know they have them because they have an on-site lab and get them the same day.

    Sounds like the RE visit was productive! That's always a good feeling. 

    I know what you mean about your OB, though. I loved my OB, but her office staff SUCKS. Of the four betas they drew, they only called me with the results of the first one, and they acted irritated when I called to get them (two days later than when they said they'd call).

    And now, I'm OB shopping.

    I'm glad that you had a good appointment and made a plan. It really gives you some relief to feel like you are doing something. FX for you that everything else goes well.

    I am SO GLAD today's appt went so well!! FX you get great results from any testing the RE did and from your betas. I hope we April '11 momma's get our take home babies soon. 2013 is our year!

    Good to hear! I'm also in the same insurance boat you're in, so I intend to squeeze every additional dollar out of those people that I can from now through the end of December.

    I am glad you had a good appt today. I have not seen an RE, but I know even after my last OB appt to finalize our plan, I felt so much better after I left. GL!!!
