TTC After a Loss

Anyone O just one week after miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage on 11/12.  I swore last Monday 11/19 I was ovulating...just one week after the loss.  I had the same pains I have normally, etc.  Then, this weekend and yesterday I had EWCM.  My boobs have been sore since around the 19th.  Did I ovulate twice?  I hate feeling like my body is all messed up.

I currently don't chart or use OPK because my issue isn't getting pregnant--it's staying pregnant.  Also, I have anxiety issues and I have been off my meds for 9 months (since we started trying) and the thought of charting makes me very anxious.

  • Your body probably just geared up to O and didn't last week. That happens, even in a normal cycle, sometimes. Good luck!

  • I would imagine your body is out of whack from your recent MC.  I don't believe it's possible to O twice in the same cycle a week apart.  Good luck to you!

  • Im pretty sure its not possible to O twice in one cycle, it is however possible to gear up to O (the hormone surges that trigger O are what give you O symptoms anyways not actual O) and didnt, then your body tried again. Its also possible that you didn't O at all, that your hormones are all over the place and making you feel all kinds of symptoms. Its also possible that you did O. Moral of the story lots of things are possible (except Oing twice) and there really isn't any way to know for sure unless you were temping....

This. And really it takes longer than one week for your body to prepare for ovulation. That would be the equivalent of O'in on cd7.... That's very very rare

I find it funny that you're saying charting causes you anxiety... seems to me not charting is doing that....

  • I think gearing up to O and then not is common right now. When I was using OPKs I would get several positives in a cycle because my body would try, and fail, and then try again. Its very confusing, especially as our bodies are just all out of whack. I do feel that charting calms my anxiety a bit - Im not this cycle because we arent ?Trying? and I hate it. I feel like Im out of touch with myself :(

I can get very obsessive about things.  Fortunately, I've had very few panic attacks over the last 9 months and I'd like to keep it that way.  Waking up every morning and immediately thinking about TTC, taking my temp, charting would just be too much for my mind.  Sure, sometimes I have bad days now, but there are other days that I can wake up and actually not think about it for a little while.

Thanks for all the info ladies.
