Tonight I made veggie stir fry. The only veggie in it that DD has never had before was zucchini. I made her take a bite and about 2 minutes later she started breaking out in hives. I have never heard of zucchini being a thing. I used garlic butter in the stirfry but she has had lots of garlic before so I can't imagine it's that.

Re: Is it possible to be allergic to zucchini?
I haven't heard of it before, but this link says it's rare. Poor girl! As if your family needs any other health issues going on right now.
DH has a cousin who claims to be allergic to lettuce. Frankly, I think she's full of sh!t 'cause she's constantly making up reasons why she and her kids can't eat healthy things.

My mom has a lettuce allergy. It's bizarre. She gets horribly sick if she has it. It usually is related to gallbladder issues.
I am just wondering if it's possible DD is just super sensitive to things right now. DH accidentally washed her sheets in Gain laundry soap after her pukefest last week and she had a massive case of hives from it. I am calling the doctor tomorrow to get her in. I am hoping to get her tested for allergies.

I'm not sure about zucchini but I recently found out that my DS is allergic to cucumbers. I had no idea this was a possibility. The 1st time he had them his face broke out in hives and was swollen in his cheek. The 2nd time he had them his entire lower half had hives and was red and hot to the touch. I didn't put it together the 1st time or I would have kept it from him the 2nd time.
Long story short, I do believe its possible but only because my DS had this reaction recently. Poor girl!!
