Officially on bedrest- long

You ladies are right, everything is fine until it isn't! I posted Saturday morning to have your shower early because I had mine that day and I was miserable. Well I toughed it out and the shower was great but by Saturday night I was crying in pain.

The doc on call had me go in to L&D to find out what was happening. They hooked me up and I was having contractions every two minutes and I was having horrible back pain on my right side up to my rib cage. After testing my urine I found out I had kidney stones, which was the pain in my side. They also gave me a shot (started with a T) to slow down the contractions and tylenol 3 for the pain. My blood pressure was high the entire time. Once the contractions slowed down and the Tylenol 3 kicked in to ease the pain they started cycles of checking my BP to see if it calmed down. It did not so I was admitted and had to do the 24 hr urine collection. During the 24 hr collection BP calmed down a bit as long as I was laying down. I also finally passed a massive kidney stone.

Once all testing was compete my platelets are too low and my urine has too much protein. So I'm now on bedrest until I deliver. I was told I can shower once a day and to stay on the same floor as the bathroom. Oh and to watch the series Lost for the next 7/8 weeks lol. I don't officially have pre-e but I'm close. Gestational Hypertension is what I've been told. They are hoping with bedrest my BP stays under control.

I am so sorry! It's amazing how quickly things can change, isn't it? I don't have any good insight on BR but wishing you the best!

I was on bed rest after a shortened cervix and ptl at 27w. Find somewhere comfortable, drinks lots of water and watch lots of tv. I think I saw every episode of law and order and CSI lol. Netflix is also great. I was induced at 37w1d
