Hungry and refusing bottle

Is this normal? I know for a fact that DD is crying cause she is hungry yet she refuses the bottle until I kind of shove it in her mouth. She has done this a few times.

I have tried calming her down first and she just gets too distracted with something else and starts to cry until I finally get the bottle in her mouth.

Re: Hungry and refusing bottle

  • Andrew does that when he's getting a tooth, it's like he's afraid of the pain but once he starts sucking then it's not so bad. ?Orajel is usually most successful for us in that situation. ?Could teeth be a possiblity?

  • My girls didn't like the dish soap I had been using (it was apple scented) and they would just make grossed out faces when I put the nipple in their mouth.
  • Trying going up in nipple size?  That worked for us.  He was just mad that the formula wasn't coming out fast enough.
