Question about birth center birth - any freebies?

I had my first in a hospital but this time we're going to a birth center. I was just wondering if they give you some of the same stuff as in the hospital...giant pads, mesh panties, mini-Lansinoh, Dermaplast?  Anything?  Or should I plan on bringing this stuff myself?  I plan on asking my midwife at the next appointment and realize that birth centers probably differ as far as giving freebies out. I would guess most do not because that is what helps keep costs down too?  I kept a couple giant pads I had left over from my first but I have never even seen these in a store (I guess I never actually looked though...)

    typically hospitals have those things b/c the pharms who manufacture them send them. i have not seen this same type of marketing at birth centers, so i'd be prepared to provide your own support items.

    It really depends on your birth center.  I've seen some fully stocked, and others where you have to bring your own birth kit.

    At my birth center you can either bring your own or buy their birth kit which includes all those items.

    My birth center, though decked out nicely, did not have those things so you needed to be prepared to bring them. I had a transfer anyway and those ice pads were soooo awesome.

    I think this what mine does - they give you a whole list of what you need to bring w/ you. Makes it easy. I've ended up in the the hospital both times, the only thing I think I'd miss is the pad ice pack thing my hospital gave me. Loved those.  

    Take a few disposable diapers and soak them with water and then lay them flat in your freezer.  Ice diapers are basically the same thing.

    Mine just gave me a list of things to pack.  The only freebies were a few lansinoh samples, a peri bottle, and whatever diapers LO needed on the day of the birth.
