    I prefer real, but DH is allergic so we get fake.

    Fake. SO says real trees are too messy.Ive only had fake so I wouldn't know.

    Real!!!!!  SO tried to fight for his fake one and I said NO WAY!  I love the tradition of getting a real tree regardless of the cost. I love crawling on the floor to fill the water stand. I love vaccuuming up the needles and hearing that crinkle sound. I love the smell, the color, the feel.  I love turning the tree until you find that perfect side to display.  No breaking it down and shoving it back in a box into the attic, we take it outside and burn it :)

    Fake. We had a real one once growing up, and my mom hated cleaning up after it.

    This is the first year that DH and I have a big tree! We usually put up a 3 ft tree on our side table, but we wanted a big tree for ds.

    Fakety fake fake fake! We always had real growing up  and I always got a rash on my arms from crawling under the tree to water it and after it was taken down I would still find needles in my feet for weeks. I love our fake trees!

    Fake. It's all I've ever known. I actually prefer them over real, oddly because of their smell. Maybe it's because my sister and I used to play in the tree box as little kids while our parents decorated the tree.

    Fake. I'm extremely allergic to real. We had one about ten years ago and we all had pneumonia that entire month. As soon as we got it out of the house, we were all better within two days. Never again!

    I love a real tree but we do a fake because the real is too messy and my cat will be in mats if we get a real one.

    Real, but a small one. This year we won't have a tree but will decorate our Christmas driftwood.

    This. When I grew up one of my favorite things was going to the tree farm to pick out our tree. I miss it.

    I prefer real but with DH's asthma we cant have one. Something in the pine triggers breathing problems for him and he actually had a full blown asthma attack one year when he was in his teens because of thier real tree. When I was a kid we always had real until I was around 12. My older brother developed a mold allergy and so the fake tree came. boooo! Oh well, our tree still looks pretty (:

    Fake.  I hate watering real trees and the fire hazard freaks me out.  I want to get one of the prelit trees.

    Real! We live in a smallish apartment but we still get a six foot blue spruce every year. We have a balcony this year and I'm so excited to put lights on it.

    I prefer real but we live in a condo with really high ceilings and limited living space so we have a skinny, very tall artificial tree.  I look forward to the day we move to a bigger place and can have a big, real tree.  I love them.

    I love the look of a real tree, but except for 1 Christmas of my life I've always lived in an apartment and it states in the lease that we can't have a real tree because it's a fire hazzard.

    I do have to say that although my tree is fake, I'm a pro at seperating the branches and very few people know that it's fake until they ask. :)

    We have one real tree and one fake, but this year we are only putting up our fake one... to save money, time and we don't have a lot of space.

    I am really pushing for a real one this year.  We couldn't have a real one for the past 4 years when I lived at home because my dogs are crazy and last year I lived by myself in an apartment and didn't even bother getting one.  I grew up with real trees before we had dogs and I have such great memories, I love real trees!
