Before M we did real trees. I had M on Dec 3rd & didn't feel like going tree shopping so DH bought a fake that already has lights. Super easy, super cheating, but I kinda like the ease during the busy, Thanksgiving / birthday / Christmas season.

We used to do a real tree, but once we got a fake tree and I could put it up early (usually the day after Thanksgiving, I am pretty excited), I knew we could never go back!
We have a fake tree. We've had it since our first Christmas living together. My parents have it to us, and at first I was bummed to not have a real tree. But, it's pretty nice not having to buy one every year, and no pine needles on the floor, watering and you can put it up early like pp mentioned.

I loved doing real trees growing up, but DH and I have a great lookin, pre-lit, fake one we use. I'd like to do a real one in a few years, though, so DD has the experience of having one.

My BFP Charts This time I'm not leaving without you.
Real here!! Probably will put it up sometime next week Gotta have it all done up and decorated before our Holiday Party on the 8th!! Probably expecting 60+ people Last year we had about 70 come! I LOVE the holidays!!
We have both. A real one down stairs and 2 fake upstairs. One fake in DD room and one in the guest bedrooms window. I also have both real and fake wreaths. I make real ones.
I grew up with real trees. Fake flowers, trees and carnations were big faux pas (sp?) in our house lol. Once I got married DH insisted on his pre-lit fake tree because he is OCD about the needles, spills and sap that can result from a real tree. So, my SS is that we do fake now, but my heart will always be with real trees!
