12w u/s transvaginal or abdominal?

I have an appt today for an ultrasound (I am 12w 2d) and I am just curious if it will be abdominal or not. If so, I can skip shaving my legs and just wear jeans ;) I am sooooooo excited to see how much my LO has grown since I last saw him/her at 8w!!

    My doc told me that my 12w will be abdominal. But it wouldn't hurt to shave just in case haha

    I just had one at 12weeks and 2 days and it was abdominal :)

    I just had my NT scan at 12w1d and it was abdominal.  If they can get the detail they need from abdominal for an NT scan, I'd imagine you'll be just fine for abdominal for a regular u/s.

    I'm crazy, and I shave before every appointment ... just in case. :)

    It really depends on your OB's office policies, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's probably going to be abdominal.

    I have a retroverted uterus, but they said they expect to be able to do an abdominal.  They also told me they plan to do a pap smear and an internal exam so I'm prepping for everything and anything.

    I had mine at 10 weeks and it was transvaginal. That doctor owes me dinner now too.

    I just had one and everything could be seen by the abdominal so I hope I won't have anymore transvaginal. I think it depends on the machine though...

    Should be abdominal at that point... but I would be prepared just in case!

    You shave your legs for a vaginal exam?  I try and keep the area of focus tidy, but never thought anyone would care about the legs - i sure don't.
