I think the branches are sorta cute, as long as no one is getting poked in the eye with them! I would think that they would have to go by the time Baby is mobile and pulling himself up and all...
It all seems kind of gloomy to me. Between the random red bicycle, the dark colors, the dead sticks, and the monkeys with hats, it reminds of me of the Wizard of Oz, the wicked witch, and her evil flying monkeys. I hardly even noticed the sticks...
marcandjen: I was in Cracker Barrel the other day, and I saw a sock monkey jack-in-the-box.
Thanks! I'll check it out next time I'm down home (no CB's around here).?
I don't want to be too matchy-matchy, and I was very anti-theme until I saw some sock-monkey fabric. I'm crafty, so I plan on making stuff on my own. My mom got a Sock Monkey for a baby present when I was born and it was one of my favorites for most of my infancy, so I think it's apropos.?

It totally reminds me of the wizard of oz! the monkeys and the bicycle....
My DD has sock monkeys, but Blablakids.com ones. She also has branches for them to hang from, but they are mounted on the wall, up at the height of the top of the window. I think that bucket of branches is bizarre, but so are the pillows, blankets, and bumpers, since you can't use those either.
I got a sock-monkey jack in the box from Target. I love the bicycle on the wall - would look adorable with the bedding I got... I will admit it doesn't seem like a very good idea to have so much hanging over the bed. And the room doesn't seem kid-friendly with all that crap in there. The bedding is one I considered, though.

The monkeys bother me more than the branches!
