I would get a few "older" toys. 6+ months. People gave me a few of those for my shower and it was nice to pull them out as M got older. I'm doing the same for her birthday and Christmas this year. Going for some older things to save.

That's a good idea! My problem is I have toys from L, so poor E gets all the hand me downs! I am going try to find some new things for E.

Agreed. My SIL said that older sized clothes and older toys are the best way to go. I know we just had our shower and have a TON of 0-3 months clothes and toys but not a lot of anything bigger. Bigger clothes and toys would be nice,
for my nephews on their first christmas I got them ornaments from Hallmark that said, babies first christmas...or something like that and then I wrote a check for their college fun account. I'm not spending much money on presents for those boys until they know what they're getting, KWIM? I'd rather just put money away for them.
Re: Christmas present help!
That is tough, I am having trouble thinking of things for my 4 month old.
Maybe some colorful rattle type toys. A book would be a good idea too, never to early for books! Clothes are always good too.
