I'm heading in, ladies! Wish me luck! FX it goes smoothly and doesn't hurt! Eek!
It was not too bad at all! Worst part was the speculum, ouch! I seem to remember that thing hurts in late pregnancy anyway. I never even felt the cerclage come out. I guess I did bleed a little; she swabbed it and waited for it to stop before removing the speculum. She showed me the stitch but wouldn't let me keep it, haha! I had to ask. It was yellow and about 1/8" thick and had about 8 knots at the end of it. It's crazy that tiny little thing saved my pregnancy.
Now I'm 1 cm dilated, about where I was when the cerclage was placed. So ladies, they do work!! I'm not even spotting and I feel fine.
So no more bed rest, no more pelvic rest, no more pills or p17 shots!!
