thoughts on double stroller?

hi ladies...i am a MOM (almost 8 month old b/g twins) and mainly lurk here and on the 6-9 month board.  i was hoping to get some insight on double strollers...what do you think about the joovy side by side stroller?  my family is not that active, but we do like to go out and would appreciate a stroller that could fit through doors and is easy to maneuver.  does anybody have any suggestions?

Re: thoughts on double stroller?

  • Love, love, love the city mini double.  Easy to fold/unfold and steer, and great sunshades.  I didn't get mine until DDs were almost past stroller age and kicking myself that I didn't get it earlier.

  • I have no experience with that one but I love my city mini double side by side. It's so easy to move and very portable, easy to open and close etc. I would highly recommend it!

  • I am registering for the Joovy.  I read a million reviews on Amazon and, for the price, feel good about my choice.  I searched old Bump posts and found a few different threads where people said things along the lines of "It's a great value, the basket's huge, they are well separated, don't know why more people don't recommend it."

  • We were torn between the BJCS and the Joovy X2, and today made the decision to go with the Joovy. The Joovy is on sale at BRU for cyber Monday, and it's also over $200 less.  With twins on the way, I know we will need the extra money and saving wherever we can is important. We did go to a BBB and compare the two side by side (Joovy is 5" wider and slightly less deep, the breakdown of the Joovy for storage is not as smooth but I feel it will just be a matter of getting use to it, the Joovy also comes with parent console areas, a belly bar, and a very large storage area).

Hope that helps, I know I have spent hours deciding between the two.

    Good luck!

  • City Mini Double rocks the house!  It fits through doors, and it's super easy to fold up.
  • We have the Joovy Scooter X2 and love it!! We took it on vacation with us last month and it did great.  Even in Disney World. Fits through all standard door ways.
