Hi ladies! I'm in my first trimester of what I'm desperately praying will be my take-home baby. DH and I are pretty set on the attachment parenting lifestyle. I was wondering if you lovely AP mamas could recommend some good books for me to read during pregnancy that might be helpful and in line with AP philosophies? Thank you so much!

Re: Books to read during pregnancy?
I am a new mom and new to this board but I read baby led breastfeeding and loved it. Now I am reading beyond the sling and can't put it down.
All the best with your pregnancy!
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
Another new mom and new to AP here...
"The Happiest Baby on the Block" (Harvey Karp) -- Not about AP specifically, but in my opinion it aligns pretty well with AP philosophy and I recommend it obsessively whenever I get the chance. It's about ways to calm your crying baby and I wish I had read it before my lil one was born...the techniques are soooo useful and pretty much saved our bacon the first 2-3 months. The author posits the theory of a "4th trimester" and how to calm babies by recreating a womblike environement.
Apparently there's a DVD that's good too.
Congrats on your pregnancy!
Happiest Baby was mt fav. I wish I had read that before giving birth to help me feel more ready.

I read Attached at the Heart when I was pregnant and also loved it. I checked it out at the library, but later bought a copy for myself because I knew I'd want to read it again. I also liked The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding (LLLI).

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
