First pregnancy! Excited and nervous!

Oh wow! This came a lot sooner than expected, but I'm oh so excited. I just wish I could share the news with someone. So glad to have this board to share with. We're expecting our first on August 5th. So we're only 4 weeks pregnant. I'm hoping the first trimester flies by but I'm so excited that I can't help searching for advice online. I need to stop - lol. I told my husband that it may take us a year to get pregnant so he laughed when he saw the positive pregnancy test this past weekend. Since it's my first pregnancy, I'm really worried about miscarriage and am trying to do everything right - but I know largely this is out of my control. Thanks for letting me share! Looking forward to an exciting 2013, making new friends, and hopefully meeting my little one.

    Hi there - congrats and welcome!  I understand your nervousness, this is my first pregnancy too.  Every ache or pain I was running online to check it out only getting myself more worked up!

    This! I know the anxiety won't ever disappear but I'm hoping I will better manage as time goes on!

    It's my first pregnancy too! I'm super excited & nervous.  Try to relax, not pick up anything heavy and get plenty of rest.  That's the advice my OB gave me. Congrats on your BFP :)

    That's great advice! I know it sounds so simple - but just hearing it from you via your MD makes me feel better. Thanks for sharing :)

    Congratulations to you ladies! I too just found out we are pregnant with our first baby after trying for 14 months, gasp! It's so hard not to go and tell everyone so I've been sneaking around on this site watching everyone talk, and now I am finally joining in... I look forward to making friends in this group too :) 

     I had just gone to the doctor last week for my annual checkup and she sent me for a thyroid ultrasound, I am impatiently waiting on those results...

    Congrats! Like you said, unfortunately you can't control what happens, so try not to worry too much. Easier said than done of course!

    Congrats! This is my second but with my first I was always worried and researching everything. I am not doing that this time I was way too stressed last time! But everything worked out great I am hoping that it works out great again and will just keep being healthy!

    Thanks - congratulations to all you ladies! I'm going to try to chill tonight. 

    On the flip side, I was supposed to go on a bachelorette trip in January to Vegas. Looks like that may not be in the cards after all!

    Congratulations!! I just found out today that I am pregnant and the due date looks to be about August 6th. So excited and so nervous!!! I've been looking online all day too!! Lol!
