Update and some ok news

I had posted how I had bled on Thanksgiving morning.  Well the bleed wasn't too bad and they were able to stop the IV fluids pretty quickly. 

The next day was a different story!  I took a nap at 12 woke up at 4pm, had a small bleed but it kept coming.  I started having contractions that got down to 2-3 minutes apart and were pretty painful.  They decided to start the stupid stupid mag again :-( it wasn't my doctor oncall either and they gave me a larger bolus than usual so that was awful.  Also I hadn't eaten since breakfast and they wouldn't let me eat until the next morning which was terrible! 

After 24 hours they turned it off thank goodness and increased the frequency of my nefedipine which has seemed to help.  I saw my actual dr this morning and the game plan seems to be that there will be no mag done after 34 weeks (32w1d today).  If the bleed is moderate we will just deliver now.  I know that it sounds so selfish of me but I am so happy to know that we will not do mag after 34 weeks.  I have been on it 4 times now and I don't know how much more I can mentally handle, I feel as if I have absolutley no control of anything.  I have faith that the steroids have helped our little man and he will be ok.  I am so happy I am getting closer to this whole thing coming to an end!

    Not selfish at all!  FX that the next two weeks (or more) go by quickly and that there is no more bleeding.

    Not selfish at all.  A friend of mine who had to use mag to stop labor said it was h*ll.  I can't imagine needing it over and over.  I'm glad you have a plan, and I hope the next couple weeks pass uneventfully.

    You have had one heck of a ride my dear! I hope that 34 weeks comes quickly and without any further issues.  I am sure you are ready for this to be over. None of us would ever think you selfish, you have been through so much! You are doing a great job baking that baby mamma!!

    You've been such a trooper through this whole ordeal, who could ever call you selfish? T&P being sent your way that the next two weeks will be an uneventful breeze (hopefully longer) and that all will be well. Your little man will be one heck of an accomplishment after all this and the greatest reward in the world after what you've been through. Hang in there, chick! You're almost there...
