Thoughts on the name Ian. Just thought of it, kind of on the line about it. It would be paired with the MN Michael

Do you pronounce it eye-an or ee-an?

    I like this name... I would definitely pronounce it EE-an.  I would side eye the other pronunciation as it reminds me of that creepy actor from 90210

    I love that combo, it's been on my list forever.

    Definitely E-an, Eye-an sounds wrong in spite of the actor from BH 90210

    I also pronounce it as EE, but sort of between one syllable and two: half EEN and half EE-in. I hope that makes sense. Sort of like how "fire" is a single syllable but can sound like two.

    I pronounce it EE-en.

    This is going to sound odd, but it's never felt like a proper name to me - more like two random sounds put together. I don't like it, but there's far worse out there.

    Love the name, and it's ee-an.  However, I know an adult Ian, and he said you wouldn't believe how many people he's met who don't know how to pronounce his name correctly.
