This is my first pregnancy, and I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow.
I went on Friday to my doctor appt, and they said I was 2-3 cm dilated and 70% effaced. I know people can be dilated forever. But yesterday, I started feeling a lot more lower back pain and pressure on my pelvic bone. This is TMI just to warn some of you, I've also been getting white discharge leakage (but my mom just says that means I'm softening up) and yesterday I had a lot of BMs. But i'm not sure what to expect since this is my first pregnancy.
Re: Labor close? Help.
Could be soon, could be weeks.
I had a lot of pelvic pain, some lower back pain, mildly increasing discharge, and increased, softer BMs all this last week. (The worst of the pelvic pain lasted about 12 hours - still hits in smaller, milder doses. Just as a warning.) DS feels like he's lower, people are no longer assuming it's twins, and the pelvic pain isn't impeding movement much anymore. DS has also gotten all hyper - hope he turns, but doesn't flip (head down, but sunny-side-up). 39+2 here.
Diarrhea is a better sign that labor is imminent than just more BMs. It's one of my "call the midwife now" indicators.
Call your doctor, tell em whats been going on over the weekend, and they will let you know what you should do. They might want to see you and give you a check, or they might tell you to go to L&D, or they might tell you to stay where you are till you have contractions 5 minutes apart. But I would def call.
Sorry, don't get your hopes up! It all sounds very normal IMO which is the best news.
