I don't know if a part-time job is an option, maybe when DH is home. I noticed that even in this economy, some stores have still hired additional holiday employees. Another option could be babysitting, with our w/out your kids. Maybe you could take an additional child or possibly go on your own when DH is home? Although, it might be a lot of work if you're with your own kids- I know I wouldn't be able to handle that too easily. I'm just thinking of the jobs that are bound to be out there. And with something like babysitting you can always post on craigslist and just see what type of response you get.

I work at a hospital and for extra money I voulenteer for studies. All of them that I have chosen are harmless. Some examples are: A TMJ study (a jaw disorder) where they measured how far I could open my mouth, I spit in a cup for 3 min & they drew my blood. It took almost an hour & it paid 50$. Another one was where i was a "medical model." I basically laid on a table (in a swimsuit, coverd by a blanket) for almost 3 hrs while dr's walked around (there were 8 of us total) and practiced using a new ultrasound machine. I was lucky & they were only using my neck (they were practicing locating a specific bundle of nerves). Paid 175$
To find studies I went to my hospital's website (www.fairview.org) and looked for the link to studies. Since we are "normal" we are considered the control group. In studies they usually have a control group, and then the people who they are ill with whatever they are trying to find a cure for.
Also, I do taste tests. You are limited to I think 20/year with the one I belong to ( https://www.foodperspectives.com/ ) but the 2 that I have done so far both paid 45$ each and the food was great. I'm not sure how much extra money you are looking for, but both of these options are great if you just need a little cash once in a while. Good luck, I hope this helps!
