I was given a hand-me-down eddie bauer bassinet to use until I transition the baby to her crib... however, I just found out that the model was recalled due to several cases of infant suffocation. The company sent me a 'repair kit' which is just a little spring in order to make the locking mechanism work. I'm a bit nervous though and would just prefer to get something else.
What are you using? pack-n-play bassinet top? Arm's reach co-sleeper?
Thanks!

Re: what will your baby sleep when he/she first comes home?
DD will sleep in the top part of the pnp until she STTN and then be moved to her crib.

Snuggle Nest in our bed.
He'll sleep in the Rock N Play or in his crib (hoping for his crib right from the start).
We also have a bassinet that came w/ our stroller, that DS slept in for the first few weeks. We don't have enough room in our bedroom for the pack n play, or we'd probably use that.

DS#1 slept in a Bassinet for some time before we switched him to a crib.
This baby will be in a co-sleeper when we bring him home
Where ever she wants to sleep! We have a bassinet, which was the plan to use with DS, but he hated it. He didn't like sleeping flat on his back and liked to be more snuggled into something. He ended up sleeping in a swing that laid down into a bassinet that was more cozy.
This time around I picked up a RnP (they didn't have these when DS was first born) and I think that if this baby is anything like DS she will like sleeping there, but I don't really care. Baby will be in our room and we have a bassinet, the bassinet/swing option, a PnP, and a RnP. Wherever baby sleeps best is fine by me.
