Strollers?

We have the BOB and the Chicco Kayfit Caddy for the carseat (similar to the snap-n-go).  I think sometime in the next month or two we want a new stroller to replace the Keyfit Caddy.  The BOB is a pain in the neck to get in and out of the car.

Any recommendations?

Re: Strollers?

  • I loved my Chicco Cortina stroller!  Huge basket underneath, folded and stored easily, and a cinch to maneuver around IMO.

If you're considering having another LO at some point in the future, a sit n stand single may be a good option as well.  You could just use the stand part as a storage "shelf" in the meantime.

  • I love my Quinny Zapp Xtra. It won't be compatible with your carseat but it is awesome! 2 rear facing positions, 3 forward facing positions, easily collapsible and weighs next to nothing! It's like a transformer, Chloe loves hers. Also I get compliments on it all the time!
  • I have a babyplanet stroller. It doesn't have a whole lot of storage space, but I still have space for my stuff. It very light, and easy to close/open.

  • I feel the same way.  I thought we would be set but the BOB makes me look like I am wrestling a wild animal.

We do hope to have another baby sooner rather than later.  Which sit n stands are good?

  •  I have the Origami.  It is AMAZING!  It opens and closes on it's own and has attachments for carseat.  When DD gets older she will sit in the regular seat.  It's super fun and I get compliments on it all the time.

My brother has a joovy and loves it. My sister has a double that also has a seat.

I tried out both Baby Trend and Graco double and single models.  My mom surprised us with the Graco double sit n stand.  She almost got the single, but decided on the double for the extra sun shade.  I love it so far!  My Chicco seat fit snugly in the top with DS2, and DS1 sat in the front seat until the past week or so.  Now DS2 is big enough to sit in the top stroller seat.  In another month or so, I'll remove the top seat and put DS2 in the front seat and DS1 on the sit/stand part in the back.  Here's the one we have:

I also really liked the Baby Trend ones, but their sun shades were much smaller and didn't really cover both seats.  In south Texas, we need all the shade we can get LOL.

  • We have the britax b ready system and love it. Folding it is really easy but it is a bit heavy lifting from the car. We rarely drive so I don't know if it would get old heaving it out of the car. I mean it's not that heavy. It is made in the same factory as the Uppababy vista and looks almost identical. It's slightly heavier. My sister has the vista and both are really easy to push and use.

Then and now. How did my boy get so big?
