Being sick & away from baby is killing me!

So yesterday I had a bad stuffy/runny nose that I thought was allergy related because I've got problems with Fall allergies.  Overnight, it turned into a bronchitis-like cough, low fever, body aches and still have the stuffy nose.  So I'm obviously sick.  MIL, her hubby, and DH's brother are here for the holiday weekend so MIL helped take care of DD during the night.  She's also very eager to help during the day, however she does things a bit differently and DD is upset with the little bit of routine change.

DD has reflux & spits up mostly because of air consumption so burping her is very important.  We normally burp her every oz of her 6 oz bottle, and then about every 10 min for an hr after the bottle and this significantly reduces any spit up.  MIL only burps her 1-2 times per bottle and is pretty weak about it so DD hardly ever burps.  She also doesn't really soothe DD by rocking/bouncing so my baby is upset & crying and I can't go to her because I'm all germ-y.

So I'm bugging DH more because he knows I'm going nuts.  MIL is also convinced that DD is fussy when her butt is the slightest bit wet in her cloth diapers so she's constantly changing her - she'd used 7 diapers by lunch time.  So I'm going to have to wash diapers again today instead of EOD like I'm used to.

Thanks for letting me vent.  I'm in desperate need of baby snuggles and I can't get any.  DD is just all out of sorts.

    So sorry you're not feeling well.  I'm sure MIL doing her own thing with your DD is just making it worse.  Hopefully it's a quick little bug that goes away soon.

    This. Hope you get better really soon! It's so aggravating when you impart such hard-won information about what works best, and then it isn't followed.
