July 2013 Moms

BTDT Moms, how do your LO's handle MS?

I ask b/c my daughter is quite a spitfire. I've been throwing up quite a bit and when I run to the bathroom she will chase me there. Then she will grab her little potty and pretend to "throw up" with me. She will giggle and laugh and say "baby be nice to mommy" while patting my stomach. She thinks it's so funny. Then she'll say "you're a MESS!" At least she's providing entertainment while I get sick.

She's not that happy with my tendency to be a slug lately. Cleaning up and making sure my day to day things are done is wearing me out. She has been very crabby b/c I'm not doing as many things with her. Sigh, this pregnancy is 10x worse in regards to fatigue then compared to my others.

Also I have frozen gingerale which really helps with my nausea. As soon as I say I'm not feeling well, she'll run to the freezer and grab a ginger icecube for me. She's so helpful.

How's your LO's deal with your M/S or lack of energy/other pregnancy symptoms?

TTC since 6/2003. m/c 9/14/03 8 weeks, 5 chemical pregnancies, mmc 6/04 12 weeks, Michael born sleeping 5/25/05 at 22weeks always our angel, fought ovarian cancer and won, m/c 4/06 5.2 weeks and 7/07 6.6 weeks,Our Miracle baby girl born 4/8/10,mc 12/18/11 at 5.3 weeks, BFP 10/26/12 dating u/s on 11/8/12 showing a strong heartbeat!EDD July 4,2013. RCS on 6/27. Baby boy in NICU for 8 long and scary days before he was able to come home. We are now a happy family of 4

Re: BTDT Moms, how do your LO's handle MS?

  • I think her routine when you are sick is fine. She lives to imitate you right now and there's nothing wrong with that. I can sympathize with the feelings about not being able to do much. I've started putting DS in daycare two mornings per week so that I get a break and he gets time with kids and an adult who can be more active with him. Is that or something similar, like a Mother's Day Out program, possible for you?

  • Missyjg: I'm just going to say this. I HIGHLY doubt that you've had 9 miscarriges. Eventually your ute wouldn't allow it anymore, this is a medical fact. And why don't you have those "missing you tickers" that everyone else has, kwim? And a stillbirth? Is 22 weeks even considered a stillbirth? I don't really think so. You really aren't welcome here on this birth month board, I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.  You're ticker just makes everyone sad, if in fact it's true, kwim? Take that ticker down and you will be more accepted, kwim?

And why are the BTDT moms even posting here? You all obviously know it all so why spend your time on this message board? You should all be taking care of your kids, kwim? These BTDT posts irritate me to no end, you all think your better then us first time moms.

Just ignore this person with ONE post.  Not that it even needs to be said, but just because someone doesn't have a "missing you" ticker, doesn't mean they don't think about their losses every day.  Also, stillbirth is generally defined as the death of a fetus after 20 weeks gestation.  Hopefully something none of you will ever go through, even if you are a total jerk.

    GTFO with this BS.

Not everyone who has had losses includes them in their signature. For some it is a very personal thing and they don't want to stare at tickers reminding them how long their LO (or many LO's) have been gone from this world. It doesn't mean that they somehow didn't have the losses or love their angel babies any less. Not everyone advertises their entire reproductive history in their signature. That is not to say that there is anything wrong with that, but not everyone does. Its a personal choice and no one should have to justify their signature to you. If you don't like her signature then don't look at it.

The BTDT posters are pregnant and due in July 2013. That is what they are doing here. No one has ever said that a 2nd or 3rd etc. mom is better than anyone else. Simply that we've been on this journey before and have information that could be valuable.

Missy is certainly welcome here. She has been a contributing member as far as I'm concerned. Seriously, this post is the height of insensitivity and mean-spirited chicken-shiit cowardice. Get on your real SN and stop being a coward. That way we know who the twatwaffle is and we can avoid you.

You have got to be kidding my. You need to get a life and stop bashing people who have been through hell. I am expecting my first and I am thankful for the insight by others who have dealt with some of the same issues I am going though. As far as your comment about missyjg not being welcome take your own advice. After such a rude comment no one wants you here. Get a life and go to hell.

  • oneeyedsnake I think you are the only one who feels that way. I don't have any tickers. I personally try not think of my losses cause I get angry because I worked in hospital where I have seen women drink in labor, a 14 girl more concerned with her figure coming back then her preemie in incubator and a mother who left hospital including her baby because doctor wouldn't give her stronger pain meds.

Plus women have many undocumented m/c since she was trying to get pregnant she probably tracked and tested every month and knew of miscarriages some women take as heavy period. I know in my journey I have had few but I don't personally count those.

Not everyone feels the need to show their loss with a ticker, and the last time I checked Missy is pg and due in July 2013 which means she's very much welcome on this board.  Far more than you, who appears to be a troll who likes to come in and be an assshole to stir the pot.
