expreience with Children's factory or softzone climbers?

We are thinking about getting N this climber for Christmas.  We live in MA and it's getting cold right when he's getting really active.  We have a huge never-used guest bedroom in the back of our house that we are thinking of converting to another playroom for N.  It's a really long room with plenty of space for him to run. We are thinking about turning it into an active play space with a climber, mats, his slide, trampoline, etc.

Anyone have Children's factory or softzone mats?  Moms of older kids, the age range is 1-3 years.  Do you think your kids would play with this at 3 years?  Beyond?

  • That looks awsome! I am a preschool teacher, and we have similiar climbers in our gross motor room and my 3 & 4 year olds love them. I think a climber/gym like the one you want would get good use for many years.

  • We just ordered one for DS!  Well the starter set.  Anyways there are a bunch of climbers at the gym I go to.  DD Adores plays on it everytime we are at the gym.  She will be 4 in March.

  • They're expensive.  Normally about $1,000+ but I found it on sale for 873. If you google 'children's factory labyrinth' or 'softzone maze' you'll see the two I am talking about.  They are practically identical, CF is about $100.00 more.  From what I've read, CF has velcro on the blocks to hold them together so I am leaning towards CF.  Either way, they crazy expensive but I divided the cost of the YMCA and Gymboree and found the climber costs about the same as a year at either of those places but I'll have the climber for years to come.  I am itching to buy it but the cost and my lack of personal experience with it makes me hold off.

    Thanks for the advice!
