Formula Mommies...how do you know?

How do you know if and when to up the ounces you are giving your LO? My DD is almost 4 months old and drinks 4 oz every 3 hours...I am dying for her to go longer between feedings and sleep through the night...

 

any advice would be greatly apprecIted! What are you feeding your LO and advice on feeding before bed :)

    Just try to give her 1/2 to 1 oz more at a feeding and see how she does with it. If she doesn't spit up or get a belly ache I say your fine.

    He makes it easy: I offer formula and when he's full he spits out the nipple or just plays with it but won't suck. If he's still hungry he screams as if I've never, ever fed him in his whole life (this is when I make 2 more ounces and he takes, like, 3 sucks before spitting out the nipple because apparently NOW he's satisfied).

    My DS is 4 1/2 months and weight 17 lbs. He eats 5 oz every 3-5 hours. I feed him right before bed around 9 pm. Then he eats around 2 ish. Then 6 ish.

    Just give 1/2 ounce - 1 ounce more and if your LO doesn't spew, then you're okay!

    Austin gets 4-5 ounces a feeding except for his bedtime bottle which is 6. His bedtime bottle is also a little warmer then his other bottles, and he sleeps like a champ. I am a very proud mama. He has been sleeping through the night (for the most part) for about a month and a half or so.

    This exactly. Sometimes she'll take 3 ounces, sometimes 6. She lets me know when she's full.

    Did you move up to Level 2 nipples? We did that around 4 months and LO ate more per sitting.

    Good point. It's probably about time to change these up.
