Is She Ready...? (POTTY TRAINING.. I know ppl are sick of these threads lol)

So I'm trying to decide if now is the time to start.

My 25 Month old is CONSTANTLY taking her daiper off and wiping herself and TRIED putting a new daiper on. We literally go through 8 daipers a day by her sneaking off and taking them off.

I tried potty training her last week. Only tried for two days. She literally sat on the potty all day long and seemed content. I didn't force her to sit on it, just told her it was there if she needed to go potty.

It was in the living room and we left the TV on to keep her occupied while she sat on the potty.

2 Hours pass and she didn't potty..

The house was getting chilly, so I put light pants on her without a daiper... Literally a minute later she pottied in her pants. >:/

So we tried again without pants. in 2 days she only pottied in the potty once.

Since then she has been taking her daiper off all day long. And the past 2 nights she had barely wet her daiper. I couldn't tell if they had got wet or not.

Should I continue trying or try again in a month or two?

    It sounds like she is not ready for PT. I would just deal with the diaper issue like any other behavior.

    We went through this type of behavior with DS when we *thought* he was ready for PT.  He loved to just sit on the potty and hang out, but never really did much.  We let it go and attempted a few other times, only to fail.  Only recently, within the past 2 weeks, has he been using the potty during the day.  He refuses to purposely pee (or even poop) in a diaper, pull up or underwear.  If we are out and he needs to pee, he tells me and we find a bathroom.  Tonight he held it in for about 30 minutes! I was shocked.

    Anyway, let it go for now and you will get there.
