  Uggh! That sounds stressful! How aboit finding a friend or family member to loan a sewing machine to you?

  That would be a great idea but we don't live anywhere near family, and none of my friends are the crafty types to own a sewing machine. Had this happened two days ago I would have went to the walmart black friday sale and got a new one for 50 bucks but oh well.

  I hate it when that happens.  Do you know what is wrong with it?  I've had to fix mine a few times, it always seems to break just when I need it most.

  No I am not sure what is wrong with it this time, I am hoping that DH can fix it when he gets home lol. If not oh well it is really old, a hand me down from great grandma. It is older then I am lol. It may just be time to get a new one.

  If it was your great grandma's, try and get it repaired instead of throwing it out.  

  Also, your non-crafty friends are quite likely to have a sewing machine stashed in their basement or attic.  Just because they don't sew doesn't mean they don't have an old Singer around the house.

  I agree with all of this and whenever I need something unusual like that i always just post on FB and get a ton of responses.
