I'm planning to wait until after reviews to tell my employer, so sometime in January. I'll be something between 12 and 16 weeks, hopefully they'll have reviews wrapped up by then because I do want to tell them before it starts becoming apparent that I'm avoiding telling them.
When are you planning to tell?
Re: When are telling work?
I was just thinking about this today. With both of my jobs, I work seasonally and basically contract to contract.
With one job, I am a high school coach and while we techicnally have things all year, some times are much busier than others. That being said, this pregnancy shouldn't really interfer at all (as in, I won't need to worry about maternity leave since we're "off" during the summer). Right now, our season lasts until late February and I'm assuming my athletic director will figure it out. The other coach knows b/c I can't stunt or jump.
With my other job, I'm contracted June through August, so obviously I can't do that job this year. My boss is a close family friend, so I'll just tell him when we "come out". They'll have plenty of time to find a replacement.
My principal and teammates know.
I'm trying to hold off telling the rest of the staff adn my students until after Christmas break.

I'm not looking forward to telling a few ppl at my work. The human resource lady is mean and judgmental, and can't want to hear her snarky remarks. Thinking about just telling my boss and letting my boss deal with human resource lady.
I also am a HS girls soccer coach, and I don't think I should have any problems coaching soccer this season.
Since I announced on FB, I am sure more than half the teachers I work with know but I never told admin. I wasn't planning on it until much further because I don't want to deal with HR just yet but I am sure they will find out through the grape vine.

I'm telling this Thursday.
I'm supposed to return from holidays on Friday, and I can't return to my old job. It was the longest I could hold off on telling them. I'll be 6w4d.

Congrats!
I'll tell work at my annual review next month.
We discuss goals for 2013, so it makes sense.

No, I live in Arizona. I do outside sales... I don't get paid on leave, but they're pretty cool in allowing us to take as long as we need. My boss is a mom and said she regrets only taking 6 weeks with her daughter and encourages us to take a while. Very lucky.

I'm kinda in this boat. I am in the interview process for a new job and will *hopefully* get it by the end of December. That said, I don't want to turn around and say "oh, by the way, I'm pg!" So I think the longer for me the better. but with this bloat who knows how long I'll be able to hold out!
