I'm flying cross-country (LA-Boston) for the holidays alone with my 2 year old boys. Any advice on how to survive the 6 hour flight? We've flown several times, but I had help and they were lap babies. This will be our first flight where they'll have their own seats. I'm thinking about renting the CARES restraints instead of lugging the car seats onto the plane (can I even fit 2 carseats in the same row?!?) Eeeep, what have I done?

Re: Flying alone with twins
What about Benadryl so they nap? That sounds awful, but might be worth it.
Not multiples specific, but I know juggling two kids and ONE car seat was really tricky. You might look into getting those things that you can attach to the back of carryon luggage that piggybacks the carseat and I think oets you strap your kids in too. Or a sit n stroll but it might be hard to push two.
For the kids, I always had my older boys pack a little backpack with a couple things they wanted (my now 8yo traveled with a rubber snake for years for some reason
I also put several items that they could eat in their bags, that they could access. I also made sure to get some new toys and activities for them to open on the plane. Color wonder packets are great for this! And I forget the name but there are little wax sticks you can bend and mold into shapes they really liked at that age. Bendaroos? I made sure to get something chewy for taking off and landing, like gummy snacks.
Good luck! I only traveled a couple of times alone with my bigs when they were close to that age, and it certainly was nice to get to my destination
