Do I need 2 ergo carriers?

just wondering if any of you with twins found it necessary to own 2 carriers?  Did you use them together often enough to justify the purchase?  I see it as something my hubby and I will only use for occassions like going apple/pumpkin picking, or the occassional walk/trip where a stroller may seem cumbersome.

    I have a Moby wrap and baby k'tan, and DH has an ergo. If it's just one of us, we can actually wear both at the same time (moby/k'tan front, ergo back). So yes, 2 carriers is nice to have and I guess it depends what type of carrier you feel most comfortable using.

    We had one but I really wish we'd gone ahead and gotten two. (Same with swings. :)) Would've really come in handy many times, both around the house like on a weekend when both babies were fussy and DH and I wanted to get things done, and for some outings where we could've gone stroller-free.


    ETA: I would probably wait though on actually buying the second one; start with one and buy another later if you both end up liking it.

    We could have survived with one, but it is nice to have two.

    We have two and I'm very happy that we do. We used them when we were on vacation, to go to the circus, a kids concert, to go vote, etc. I bought both of ours from BabySteals.com. Sign up for their emails and keep an eye out for them. I spent 75 or less on each one.

    For me having two is essential. I SAH with the boys and DD2, so when I have I run errands with all 3, the ergos can be a life saver. I wear one on the front and one on the back. Best part is that most people only see one of the boys, so I'm able to do what I need to do without being stopped by people compared to when I'm pushing the stroller. We already had an ego for DD1, so I was already a fan of them. But I told DH about 3 or 4 months ago that we needed to get another one. Now we can both wear one while out and everyone is happy. We don't leave home without making sure we have both ergos in the car. We got our second one off Craig's list for about 45.
