Girl toy ideas

I want to buy absolutely every toy I see for my little Goddaughter.  Unfortunately, my gift budget isn't big enough to do that, so I have to pick one.  What do the little girls in your life like best?  She'll be 11 months old by the time Christmas rolls around.

ETA: It doesn't have to be "girly."

Re: Girl toy ideas

  • Ha, mine is no help, her favorite things to play with are blocks, trucks/tractors to roll, or shoes to carry around.

The only girly thing she LOVES is this:

LeapFrog Shapes And Sharing Picnic Basket

She loves taking everything out of it and "sharing" it, not so much putting it all back, which means it's almost always got pieces all over the house. but oh well, she loves it anyway

Yes, we have the picnic basket too and it's a hit.  We're always losing pieces to it because DD likes to hide them all over the house.

I'd also recommend the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Tea set, we don't have it ourselves, but it has great reviews and I've bought it for others.

  • Gator has a little purse that talks when opened and came with a little toy mirror, toy keys, toy cell. She thinks its dumb. I think she has touched it twice. She has a little plastic tea set, she likes the spoon to it. Other than that, she doesn't touch it. We left her birthday with a truck bed full of toys, the only thing she really loved was the balloon that was attached to one of the toys. She also likes the Little People Talking Zoo. Her other favorite thing is the Snugamonkey from Target. It's 20 and like the glow seahorse but plays for 20 minutes instead of the seahorse, which plays 5 to 8 minutes. And it's more cuddly, but only Target sells it. She has thousands of toys.....but really has no interest in most of them. Oh but she LOVES Tupperware! She sticks it on her head, puts her face in it and yells, drums on it, carries it around, puts toys in it, etc.

  • I like the picnic basket!  I'm also eyeing up some MegaBlocks.  I know her mom already got the tea set for her.

  • We have the Fisher Price picnic basket and Lo loves it. She never plays with the tea set. I picked up the Magical Musical Mirror for my brother to give her for Christmas. She is beyond obsessed with it. We let her play with it and I've never seen her so excited over an actual toy. It is the most stereotypical girl toy ever so Id keep the parents personality in mind. I've read reviews on several sites and the only negative comments I've seen is about the message it gives but even that person rated it a 4 out 5 because their kid loves it.
