This whole Thanksgiving time at the IL's has been kind of crap.  We got into town Wednesday night, and went to the bar with DH's brothers and friends.  His best friend and his wife were there, and she's expecting in about 2 weeks.  (They are the type that got pg their first try.)  Super.  DH gets drunk, so I'm stuck staying sober and being the dd.

We got together with those same 2, and another friend and his wife last night.  This couple has a 1 year old, they have also previously had 1 (if not 2) losses.  The guys get drunk (again) while the girls stay in the kitchen and talk all night.... about pregnancy and babies.  Yay! (eye roll).  These girls know about my losses, and know I should have a 2 week old baby by now.  That doesn't stop the conversations of course.  So I'm forced to sit and listen to these girls, and since DH is drunk, I can't even numb my brain with wine or beer since I have to dd again.

Today is a new day, and somehow my MIL assigned me the task of decorating her xmas tree while she's at work.  One of DH's brothers is also at work, and another one is out in back helping his dad with something.  DH is in the basement playing with his new PS3.  That leaves me alone, decorating this stupid tree that isn't even mine.  WTF?

Is it Sunday yet and time to go back home?

    Good lord!  That is one $hitty Thanksgiving.  I am very sorry.  Ok if it was me I'd stomp my feet till dh helped, or fake a migraine.  I would WANT to screw the tree up, but would chicken out.  But again, I am very sorry and wish I had the power to get you out of it.

    Hhhhhhhhell no. You poor thing! I think I'd tell DH to get his happy ass up to help you. Sorry you are getting the crap end of the deal. I say, come Christmas time, it's your turn to get your drink on.....AND you get to choose who you guys hang with.

    uhhh you must be a way nicer wife than me. MY DH would not have gotten drunk two nights in a row under those circumstances (you def could have used a few drinks over the past few days) and he def would be helping with that tree!

    Double yuck! I'm so sorry that your Thanksgiving weekend has sucked so bad. I would be really annoyed as well, especially with DH. Why does he keep getting to drink and you keep having to be the dd? Not fair if you ask me.

    I would just not decorate the tree and let MIL deal with it later. Or do a really crappy decorating job. Stick out tongue

    Sorry you are having to deal with this crap. I hope tomorrow comes quickly for you.

    I'm sorry ((hugs)) That is a lot of crap packed into one weekend. I cannot believe how insensitive everyone around you is being. And don't take this the wrong way, but why does your DH get to get drunk twice and leave you to be sober when dealing with this nonsense? I hope that things get better for you.

    I am sorry, what a shi$$y weekend! I would def. ask DH to help, especially because this is his mother, if it was mine I probably would just do it. At least tomorrow Sun!

    If there had been any little kids around you could hide a piece of cheese in the tree for fun. They probably wont find it til it starts yo stink. Sorry your weekend sucks. Hope it gets over soon.

    What a load of crap!  The whole thing.  Just yuck.

    And she made YOU decorate HER tree?  WTF is that all about?

    Sunday's almost here!  Then you'll be home sweet home and this nightmare will be over.  Hope it goes by quickly!

    2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
    2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
    IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
    So lost.

    That sucks that you got the short end of everything the whole weekend. The other women should have asked you if you were ok with talking about all of that. Sometimes I am fine with it and other times I have a hard time. Also, I can't believe you had to decorate the tree for her by yourself.

    ~RPL testing results from 12/6/13 show everything normal except elevated prolactin. Blood work is now in the normal range. All AL welcome!
