34 weeks and still cooking - update from hospital bed rest
I made it to 34 weeks!!!
Apparently I am a bed rest rock star. Who knew? I saw the MFM this morning and he was so pleased with how well I am doing here in the hospital and how well the girls are doing on the inside. I asked him for a goal date and he said 37 weeks. It was just two weeks ago that he was saying I would deliver in a matter of days. I asked my OB if I could make it to 37 weeks, could I get my c-section on 12/12/12 (37 weeks exactly). She said the hospital was booked so she had to schedule for 12/13, but not to worry, she would make it happen on 12/12.
Now I just have to hang in there for 3 more weeks. I know that realistically, anything can happen between now and then and they can come at anytime, but I just feel so much better about having made it to 34 weeks so far and having an end goal in sight.
I don't even mind spending Thanksgiving in the hospital. My mom is bringing me all the Thanksgiving fixings tonight AND tomorrow. When you are stuck in the hospital, you get TWO Thanksgivings.

I will turn 40 on 12/12/12, so I have to admit, it is a pretty cool date to have a birthday

Expecting Boy/Girl Twins! My babies were born 4/23/13 at 36w1d!
Because I have a pre-ecclampsia diagnosis, I will not be allowed to go home. I have to stay until I deliver.
But it's comforting to know that I will be back home in less than 4 weeks. I miss my furbabies.

Unexplained Infertility

After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Melle-enjoy yourself right now. Cook those babies, lay in bed, watch your favorite videos and eat as much pie as your heart desires. It'll be a long time before you have time like this to yourself again. You're in perfect hands....I know it sounds crazy but, enjoy. ; )
Great news! 34 weeks is a great milestone. Sorry you have to be in the hosital - but it's all worth it to get those girls as far along as you can. Enjoy your double turkey!
12/12/12 is a pretty sweet birthday too. Fingers crossed you get there. My twins birthday is 7/11/11 and my cousin's twins are 10/10/10, also cool birthdays!

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p

As if it wasn't bad enough... I have PUPPS, I slipped and broke my toe and it now looks less likely I will make it to 37 weeks as the swelling is starting to come back to my feet and legs with a vengeance.
Grrrr. Maybe I am just whiny tonight. I'll feel better tomorrow. My toe won't, but I will. : )
And I love that she's going to make it happen on 12/12/12 for you. What a cool birth date, I'm not surprised it's booked, but you deserve to get bumped back to that day after hanging in there for so long!
