6-month appt. pedi. recommended cranial ultrasound...

The Dr. recommended DD for Pediatric Head Shape and Neck Therapy, since her head width went up from 10th percentile to 40% in 2 months. She hates to be on her tummy, so I don't know how therapy will help that much.

She has to get a cranial ultrasound done in a few weeks. Anyone else's DC have to have this?

Need advice and/or encouragement.

  • I'm sorry you are going thru this, it would be hard for me to take DD for a cranial ultrasound. Hopefully everything turns up fine. I'm sure therapy will help if she needs it and she won't hate being on her tummy forever! Good luck and you and DD will be in my thoughts

  • DS had a cranial ultrasound done in September.  It wasn't that bad and they didn't even take him out of the car seat.  He spent the time smiling at the ultrasound tech. Good luck with everything!
  • We've had four done on DD to monitor a hemmorhage (she was a preemie). Anyway, they are painless, only take a few minutes and you can hold her when you get her scanned. The best way, in my opinion, is to hold her and feed her at the same time--that way, they're still and distracted. GL.
