Any tips on getting baby to turn?

We just found out that both of the babies are head down, but baby A is face up.  I'm just wanting him to turn before I go into labor.  I hear that it can make for a long/difficult labor if he comes "sunny side up".  So if anyone can give me any tips that would be awesome!  One person told me to get on my hands and knees and rock back and forth.  But how can I tell if he turned over?

Thanks in advance.

  • Whoever told you to get on your hands and knees was correct. I also sat on an exercise ball with my legs open, feet on the ground and rolled my hips in circles. I only had one in there but those two things worked for me. Good luck!!

This.  Doing pelvic rocks are considered extremely helpful when helping turn a baby into the optimal position... whether it be from breech to vertex or like your situation.

I see a chiropractor already for my PSD that will start Webster  adjustments soon if my Baby A doesn't flip back to vertex on his own... he is currently frank breech.

  • I agree with doing pelvic rocks, but I don't think there's a way to know if the baby has turned. My baby A was face-up but I didn't know that till he was in the birth canal. The pushing stage lasted 3 long hours just with him and I'm sure that was part of it. The dr was able to manipulate him to a better position on his way out though.
