a BFP and a family announcement.

Oh my. This is so exciting and I'm so nervous too. A week ago I took a hpt and *Bam!* Positive. I was so excited that I took a picture and sent it to my SO. He called me and we agreed to keep it secret until we confirmed with the doctor. I am considered high risk pregnancy so they were able to schedule me for a Monday appointment to check for a heartbeat and make sure everything was okay.

I have to say that I didn't really feel pregnant. Really if AF wasn't 10 days late I probably would have never guessed (until i started gaining weight lol)

Once I saw my baby (who looked like a jelly bean) on the screen it just felt more real and I wanted to tell everybody, now. We both knew that it would be best if we wait until 12 weeks but I was going to bust if I didn't get to tell my mom soon (jellybean will be grandbaby #9 for her but first from me). Finally we decided to tell our families today. We now have 5 offers to throw baby showers, two excited sets of grandparents, several offers to help get our house baby ready (which really is needed) and so much support from family members we thought would take the news badly that its kind of overwhelming. Its nice to have a quiet night after today.
