Contractions with Multiples? STM and more come on in?

So for the past few days I have been having contractions i think.. drinking water and putting my feet up don't stop them.  My belly gets rock hard, I feel pressure in my pelvis and but its different than with DD.  With DD my contractions came.. they got stronger, faster, and I knew it was time to go.  NOW .. they seem to come.. stop.. come stop.. I can have 3 an hr.. then nothing for 4  hours.  It is driving me nuts cause I am miserable.  These contractions make it hard to breath.  Once I had a sharp pain in my pubic bone.  Felt like it was going to break in half.  I have yet to loose my mucous plug, no fluid leakage and no bleeding.  Is this what it feels like with multiples?  I feel like this is my first child instead of a semi seasoned vet.

    Same here...some days I have contractions all day long, other I have a bout two. I'll have 5 in an hour and then nothing for 3 hours and then 3 more.  They're strong, too! But really nothing to consider anything but BH...frustrating! I go in for my 35 week appt tomorrow and am going to ask then.

    My labor actually started exactly the same way with both of my pregnancies: I had a lot of BH Contractions that got stronger and stronger and more consistent, I went to the hospital when they were about five minutes apart, I was dilated 5 to 6 cm when I got to the hospital. If you're not in labor, your body must be getting ready by now. My goodness, you are past 37 weeks! Has your doctor checked to see if you are dilated at all? I think the rule of thumb is you're not in labor unless your contractions are consistent. Mine were not strong or painful but got closer and closer together overtime.

    they stopped checking my cervix at 34 weeks.  My C-Section is next thursday. yea my contractions don't hurt they are just annoying and frustrating.  Even when I was in labor I didn't find it painful.  I was talking to my sister while I was laboring she was in aw.  I guess I could count the kick to the crotch as just that a kick to the crotch. The pressure would be obvious since they are moving down and its two of them.   I am just wondering if all this is normal with multiples or I guess this is chalked up to the every pregnancy is different thing.. oi.

    I've only been pregnant once, but I experienced that quite a bit in my last week (from about 36.5w til I went in for my induction. I was induced at 37w6d).

    Yeah, it was frustrating. There were times I'd have them like every 6-8 minutes for an hour or so ... and then they'd taper off. Hope things go smoothly for you in this last week though and you're not too uncomfortable!
