Thanksgiving lie

We have decided to wait to tell our families until Christmas which poses the problem of me not drinking tomorrow in front of my husband's family. I can't say I don't want to drink, they will know somethings up. We thought we'd tell them that I'm on some medication that doesn't allow me to drink. However, I need suggestions as to what medication or ailment "I have" that prohibits me from drinking because of medication because they will definitely ask! Any suggestions ladies???

I plan on carrying around a glass of wine and taking VERY small sips then dumping little bits when no one is looking so it appears that I'm drinking. I'm not a heavy drinker to begin with but always have wine at Thanksgiving!

I have the same issue. If anyone asks, I plan on telling them that I'm taking antibiotics for a UTI, which will hopefully also excuse the fact that I have to pee every 2 hours.
